Pitch Hire/ Booking

The hire of a pitch entitles the bearer access to the pitch named at the stated time and date.
It is your responsibility to check your booking receipts as we are under no obligation to rectify mistakes after purchase of pitch hire. We are not obliged to replace lost or stolen hire receipts.

How do I book a pitch online?

Book online at www.bayroadsoccer.com

Can I book via other means than online (e.g. via telephone)?

Sure, telephone bookings can be made on 028 71 371999 or you can book in person during normal opening hours. Pitch hire can be purchased from the main reception desk located in the clubhouse.

What payment methods do you accept?

Pitches can be booked using the UK using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro/Switch, Solo & Visa Electron.

How do I know that my booking is confirmed?

You will get a booking reference number at the end of the booking process as well as an email confirming your booking.

Once I have booked a pitch online, how do I gain access to the pitch?

Access to your pitch will be via the main reception area located in the clubhouse.  You must remember to bring the card used during the booking process as this may be required to locate and issue your booking or to confirm identification.

Please ensure that you arrive well in advance of kick off time in order to pick confirm your hire and avail of the changing facilities. If you arrive after kick off time, admission may be refused to avoid disruption to guests who are booked for the next available session.

I’ve made a mistake with my booking – what should I do?

Please call us on 028 71 371999 if this happens or email score@bayroadsoccer.com and we will endeavour to remedy any mistakes.

Why do you charge a card handling fee?

The card handling fee covers the additional costs incurred by the centre relating to your online purchase. The transaction charge is 80p per transaction. There are no additional charges for telephone bookings.

Can you resell/transfer pitch hire?

You must not resell or offer for resale any pitch hire (whether at a premium or otherwise) or use the pitch hire for advertising or promotions or for any other trade purposes. If you resell or offer for resale any pitch hire, then this will be deemed invalid.

Is it safe to use your website for online booking?

Yes. The Web Booking Engine that we use utilises 128-bit encrypted SSL (secure socket layer) technology, which is standard for all online Credit Card transactions.

Is my personal information kept private and secure?

Yes, Bay Road Soccer is very respectful about the privacy concerns of all our customers. All the personal information you enter when registering / booking with us is kept on secure servers and is not supplied or sold to any third party. However, we sometimes need to use e-mail addresses / mobile phone numbers and other personally identifiable information to contact customers when we may be required to do so, e.g. Credit Card Fraud or Police Investigations.

Can I make an online / phone booking with Vouchers & Complimentary passes?

Gift Vouchers can be redeemed online but not complimentary passes. Complimentry passes can only redeemed in person, at the centre.

If I collect my pre-booked pitch hire receipt can I still get it refunded if I give enough notice?

Yes. As long as collected receipts are presented in person at least 24 hours pre-kick off, we can refund it for you. We will not refund collected receipts over the phone or by email.

Does the cardholder need to be present when I'm attending for play?

For your protection against fraud we strongly recommend that the cardholder is present at the time of entry. If the cardholder cannot be present on the day, they can collect the booking receipts anytime between making the booking and the day of kick off during normal opening hours.

How do I know if my booking is confirmed?

At the end of your booking you will be given a unique reference number. Please keep a note of this number, as you will need to bring it along with your card when you attempt to gain access to the pitch. You will also receive an email to confirm your booking.

What is a CVV / CVV-2 Code that I am being asked for?

The Card Verification Value Code (CVV) is a 3 Digit code on the back of your credit card that is used for authorisation purposes.

Can I request pitch hire cancellation by e-mail?

No. Unfortunately we cannot cancel bookings by e-mail. If you think you may have made a mistake with your booking or need to cancel your pitch hire for whatever reason then please call us on 028 71 371999 and we will endeavour to resolve the issue.

How long before my date of play do I need to give notice if I wish to cancel my booking?

Due to the nature of our business we can only offer pitch hire cancellations / refunds up to twenty four hours before scheduled kick off time.

I think my credit card might have been overcharged. What do I do?

If you feel that you may have been overcharged then please send us a copy of your statement with everything else blanked out except the charges in question by email (score@bayroadsoccer.com), fax (028 71 269072) or post to us at Bay Road Soccer, The rear of 16, Bay Road, Derry BT48 7SH.

For security reasons we cannot refund disputed transactions without proof that you have been overcharged. No correspondence will be entered into if you do not follow the correct procedures.

If I am running late for my booking will my pitch be held?

We strongly recommend that you arrive at 15 minutes before your scheduled kick off time. Bay Road Soccer will not refund your pitch hire in the event that you are late arriving and your group cannot gain access to your pitch and/or the available pitch is not to your liking. Please note, payment is received irrespective of whether the pitch is used or not.

Are unaccompanied children admitted to the Centre?

We reserve the right to refuse admission to children who are unaccompanied by an adult. We would recommend that all kids attending birthday parties be accompanied by an adult.

Do you cater for / organise kids parties?

We have a large variety of kids parties to choose from, please see the special offers section for full details. We have kids parties here every day so we have it down to a fine art! Soccer School

Soccer school runs every Saturday & Sunday and admission is priced at £4.00 per person. Additional soccer schools may take place during school holidays. Please check www.bayroadsoccer.com or become a fan of our facebook page, www.facebook.com/bayroadsoccer for updates, start times etc

Gift Cards

These can be purchased online (www.bayroadsoccer.com), over the phone (028 71 371999) or in person from our clubhouse. Our gift cards never expire and can be used for pitch hire and all food/beverages on sale throughout the centre (excluding vending machines).

Etiquette

Please do not spoil the enjoyment of others.

 

  • Please ensure that player safety is paramount at all times.
  •  Guide and hearing dogs are welcome but other animals are not permitted on the premises.
  •  We reserve the right to delay or refuse the admittance of latecomers. Management also reserve the right to refuse admission

Code of Conduct

In an effort to provide a guest-friendly environment, we ask that you read and follow the Bay Road Soccer Code of Conduct. Children unaccompanied by an adult may not be admitted at certain times of the day. Bay Road Soccer reserves the right to refuse admission, or require persons to leave the premises (without providing a refund) when persons:

 

  • Might be a risk to the safety of others.  (Bay Road Soccer adopts a zero tolerance approach to excessively aggressive behaviour and supports the referees who are there to ensure that your game runs smoothly and without incident.)
  • Appear to be intoxicated and/or are behaving in an antisocial way. Please note that CCTV is in operation for the purpose of crime prevention and public safety.
  • Who is smoking on the premises.
  • Who brings cameras or recording equipment into the changing facilities (and we reserve the right to carry out random bag checks).

 

Please look after your belongings as we accept no responsibility for loss or damage to them, however caused.

  •  A credit/debit card is required for all online bookings.

Cancellations

  • Bookings may be cancelled pre-kick off by contacting us in person or by telephone. Please note that 24 hours pre-kick off notice is required for cancellations.
